Advanced Virtual COM Port 2.4
|
Com is a communications application for Windows which allows to forward / bridge data between serial ports (RS232, bluetooth, IrDA, USB) represented as COM ports and TCP/IP connections or UDP/IP links. In the simplest scenario it is an COM port to TCP/IP converter, but it can bridge data between any combination of COM and UDP or TCP ports, with TCP ports in either client or server modes. Use HsTcp2Com to connect data collection devices such as modems

ports and READ/WRITE or WRITE ONLY mode for joined serial ports. Program features: - One COM port can be splitted up to 254 virtual ports - One COM port can be opened by several applications at the same time - Several COM ports can be joined to one virtual port - READ/WRITE or READ ONLY mode mode for splitted serial ports - READ/WRITE or WRITE ONLY mode mode for joined serial ports - Once created virtual serial ports are operable at each system startup

ports creation and management software. What needs does COM API meet? - Essentially reduces development efforts for creation of applications with virtual ports interaction - Allows creating systems with legacy components which could transfer data only to serial port - Allows taking serial stream and converting data using any other protocol. In what situations COM API can be used? - When it is needed to create and control virtual com-ports without

COM port into a number of virtual COM ports, so that each of them behaves exactly like the original port and even has the same name, and any data arriving at the original port is simultaneously received by all virtual ports. For instance, the COM Port Splitter can let a serial device interact with multiple applications at the same time. Another job COM Port Splitter can do for you, is joining some COM ports into one virtual port, which is quite useful
